Plant history & use
'Jenny' is a self-fertile kiwi variety developed to bear fruit without the need for a pollinating male plant. It is also one of the few common large-fruited kiwi varieties hardy enough to be grown outdoors year-round in our climate.
The fruits are sweet, juicy, and fragrant. Kiwi originates from China but is now a well-known fruit worldwide.
Cultivation
Thrives in a sunny, warm, and sheltered spot in well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. Can be grown against a wall or trellis. Winter covering is recommended in colder areas.
