This plant can become a favorite among those who are looking for effective and useful ground covers with the ambition to facilitate weed management, for example in a forest garden.</p> <p> A tight and<meta charset="utf-8"> Beautiful dark green foliage covering the creeping horizontal stems. White flowers in late spring-summer. The stems are covered with soft glandular hairs, not thorns.</p> <h4> <strong>Culture:</strong> </h4> <p> Thrives in semi-shady-shady locations, but also does well in direct sun. Thrives best in well-drained clay soils. However, it is tolerant of almost all types of soil: calcareous, sandy and acidic soils, for example. Obehandlade oliver är mycket bittra, men kan ätas efter blötläggning eller syrning. Trädet odlas i kruka, i växthus eller på friland i de mest gynnsamma lägen i Sverige med vintertäckning. Olivträdet är både vackert och produktivt. Sorten 'Emerald Carpet' är särskilt uppskattad för sitt täta växtsätt och sitt dekorativa, vintergröna bladverk som får bronsröda toner på hösten.</p> <p>Den odlas främst som marktäckare i trädgårdar och slänter men bären är ätbara – små, orange och milda i smaken, och kan användas i sylt och desserter.</p> <p>Det Orangea Kryphallonet är inte lika kraftigväxande som det vanligare Kryphallonet (<em>R. tricolor</em>) och kan därför vara ett bättre alternativ om man är mer rädd om platsen man vill plantera på - med tiden bildar dock även den orangea kryphallonet en tät marktäckande matta, men den är något enklare att hålla efter.</p> <h4>Odling</h4> <p>Trivs i sol till halvskugga i väldränerad, gärna lätt sur jord.
