Cultivation
Yaupon is a hardy plant that tolerates temperatures down to about –18 °C (USDA zones 6–9) and can therefore be grown outdoors in the country's mildest parts, for example in Skåne, on Gotland, and along the west coast. Thrives in sun to partial shade in well-drained soil. Tolerates both drought and wind well once established. Also suitable for pots.
