Plant history & use
'Fortunella' is an unusual variety of goumi with decorative, yellow-orange berries that have a fresh, sweet-tart taste. The berries are used fresh or for jam, jelly, juice, and wine. The plant has been cultivated in East Asia both as a useful plant and as a soil improver thanks to its ability to fix nitrogen.
