Seed-sown Asimina plant with strong root system.
The plant is sent safely and securely packed with shock-absorbing packaging. The plant is delivered without a pot.
Note. that trees ordered during the winter months lack foliage.
The trees are easily self-fertile but 2 trees are recommended for good pollination.
Common names : Asimina, Paw paw
Scientific name : Asimina triloba
Family : Annonaceae
Plant history & use :
Asimina is one of the most tropical-like fruits that can grow in our Nordic climate. The taste is reminiscent of a mixture of banana and mango and the texture is similar to papaya or a perfectly ripe avocado. The fruit looks like a small green mango with golden yellow flesh.
The fruits are usually eaten as they are but can also be used to enrich refreshing drinks, pastries and cocktails with their mild tropical taste. The fruits are rich in vitamins such as riboflavins and B-6. You can also use the fruits to make ice cream.
Cultivation :
Asimina originates from and grows naturally in North America, often as undergrowth under larger trees.
They thrive in humus-rich, nutrient-rich and slightly moist well-drained soils.
Asimina thrives in sheltered locations and therefore likes to grow under larger trees and also like to stand close together (approx. 1 m apart) in full grown size. This protects against wind and direct sunlight and facilitates pollination. East facing is a suitable place to plant Asimina. Plants that grow in exposed locations do significantly worse than plants that grow in protected locations.
Water abundantly or plant in a place with good water supply.
Asiminan puts a lot of energy into developing a strong root system in the beginning - the root can often be thicker than the trunk in the first months. When growing in pots, a tip is to plant in deep pots directly, this gives the opportunity for more efficient root development and you avoid disturbing the plant before it has grown.
In open ground, Asiminan grows into a dense thicket by spreading via root shoots.

SEEDS (10pcs/bag)
Trivial Names: Sky-Earth, Sail-Earth, K litoria, Butterfly Pea
Scientific name: Clitoria ternatea
Family: Fabaceae
Plant history & use:
Large climbing plant whose flowers have an intense blue color that is easily released when hot water is added.
Used to color food, sweets and drinks.
In Asia, tea made directly from the flowers is drunk. Sometimes it is mixed with lemongrass, honey and lime.
Himmelsärt is also used in traditional medicine as a relaxant and memory enhancer.
The normally blue colored drink changes to purple if you add something acidic, such as lemon. This is due to pH changes in the composition. Similarly, the flowers of the sky pea are sometimes used to make blue gin, which turns purple when tonic is added.
As a comparison, you can think that tea made in Himmelsart is used in Asia in the same way that we in Sweden use chamomile tea.
Like The goa bean Himmelsärten is regenerative for the soil in that it fixes nitrogen from air pores in the soil and works well as a ground cover crop. On the other hand, Himmelsärten is generally not hardy in Sweden, unlike Goa bean.
Culture:
The sky pea is a sun-loving, fast-growing plant that quickly establishes itself if it has something to climb on.
Cultivation in a pot is recommended if you want to let it become perennial in Sweden. Overwinter frost-free.
Able to grow in both moist and dry soils. Thrives surprisingly well in heavy clay soils. For growing in pots, a loamy soil with good drainage should be used.
Top branches for a bushier growth habit.
Sowing:
Pre-cultivated indoors early in the year, alternatively sown outside in April-May.
Soak the seeds 1 day in advance. Sow in moist soil and preferably cover with plastic with small air holes to maintain good moisture.
Characteristics:
Age: Perennial
Plant position: sun
Height: 150-300 cm
Germination time: 10-20 days

Beneficial organism against aphid infestation. In a pack of 500 pieces.
Orders placed by Sunday evening will be shipped the following Tuesday.
Aphid lion is the nickname for the larva of the golden-eyed dragonfly, Chrysoperla . The larva lives up to its name as it is a really effective predator, with aphids as its main food. It is naturally occurring in Sweden and is very good at catching aphids. During its life cycle it can eat up to 600 of them. The aphid lion is used to advantage in cases of heavy infestations in a limited area, so-called "hot spots".
It pinches the aphid between its cheekbones and sucks the aphid out. The nearest aphids are warned, and then fall off the plant. As this can make control more difficult, it is recommended to put a fine net around the plant, which keeps both aphids and aphid lions in place. The larva grows from 2-3 mm to about 1 cm during the 2 weeks that it eats aphids.
Works best in low cultures.
Delivered in packages of 500 in a small carton.
User manual
When receiving the delivery, the white protection on the cardboard box should be torn off. Gently tap the back so that the larvae fall out onto the plant. There is one larva in each compartment. If you are going to put them on different plants, only pull off part of the protection so that they do not all fall out onto the same plant.
Should be put out immediately after receipt but can be stored for a few days at 8-10 degrees.
Glare shield that effectively directs the light downwards. Cut to the correct length and fold in at the longitudinal markings. Fits all LED ramps. Made of polypropylene (PP). 8 cm x 96 cm.
Organic fertilizer for nitrogen-loving plants, such as lettuce, cabbage, spinach and leeks. Very fast-acting. Approved for use in organic farming.

SEEDS (10pcs/bag)
Common name: Kousa Dogwood, Chinese Dogwood, Korean Dogwood, Japanese Dogwood
Scientific name: Cornus kousa
Family: Cornaceae
Plant history & use:
Dogwood is a densely grown small tree that originates from Northeast Asia. In spring, it produces numerous bright white flowers that light up shaded areas in the garden. At the end of summer, the tree forms peculiar pink-red edible fruits of 2-3 cm in diameter.
These fruits can be used to make jam or bake a pie. In Asia, you make juice from the berries as well as ferment them into wine.
The bark on thicker stems flakes and creates a beautiful pattern of varied colors.
The leaves on the tree also turn into a beautiful bright red/orange color in autumn.
Cultivation:
Dogwood is a deciduous tree that grows well in all of Europe. The tree is relatively long-lived (50-150 years) and is very cold resistant.
Unlike many plants, dogwood thrives well in shaded locations. It should also preferably be protected from the wind. If the tree is in direct sun, the tree tends to produce increased amounts of fruit, but of a smaller size.
An optimal growing spot for the dogwood is under one or several tall deciduous trees - which provide shade and add organic matter to the soil - surrounded by additional vegetation in different (agroforestry) layers. This contributes to creating a moist, wind-sheltered and semi-shaded environment in which the dogwood thrives best. The tree's luminous flowers can also light up an otherwise shaded "grove". The dogwood has low maintenance requirements and produces large recurring harvests every year.
For the reasons mentioned above, the dogwood is an excellent tree to have in a woodland garden / food forest. If you don't have such conditions on your cultivation area, a location with morning sun and afternoon shade also works well for creating a similar environment.
Sowing:
The dogwood seeds are relatively slow-germinated.
The seeds germinate best if given a cold period of 3-4 months. But first, the seeds should be soaked in warm water for 1-2 days.
After soaking, mix the seeds with a handful of sand/peat/sowing soil and put in a plastic bag in the fridge for the above period. Check periodically if any seeds have germinated in the bag (if that's the case, sow them already). When the cold period is finished, carefully spread the contents of the bag on top of soil in a pot. With this method, germination can take a couple of months.
Alternatively, sow outdoors in autumn and protect the seed from birds or other animals that might disturb the seed. With this method, the seeds should germinate in the spring.
Characteristics:
Lifespan: Perennial
Location: Shade/Semi-shade
Height: 1-3 m
Germination time: 1-12 months

Californicus predatory mites in bags for preventive control of spider mites, 10 small bags.
Orders placed by Sunday evening will be shipped the following Tuesday.
Neoseiulus (Amblyseius) californicus is a predatory mite used in the preventive control of spider mites. They are supplied in 10 small bags. These are hung out in the plants before, or when, spider mites are observed.
Californicus is a 0.5mm large, transparent to light yellow predatory mite. It feeds, for example, on the common spider mite species, the greenhouse spider mite, which can affect both ornamental and vegetable plants.
Californicus is a hardy predatory mite that can also survive on other mites and pollen. They are therefore well suited to use as a preventative against spider mites, as they can be released even before spider infestations are observed.
Compared to the commonly used spider mite Phytoseiulus persimilis, Californicus can handle a wider temperature range. They can be used at temperatures between 8 and 35°C, with an optimum of 20-33°C. They are also less sensitive to drier environments.
Californicus is also used to control red spider mites, such as citrus and fruit tree mites, which the common spider mite does not attack.
However, in the event of widespread infestation of greenhouse spider mites, it is recommended spider mite ( Phytoseiulus persimilis), which is then more effective.
User manual
It is advisable to plant Californicus early in the growing season (in greenhouses in May/June) before the spider mites become too established.
The bags are hung on the plant, on branches or leaf stalks. Use 1 bag per plant, or about 2-3 bags/m² .
The predatory mites will get out of the bag and up over the plant. The bags will last 4-6 weeks. The bag does not need to be perforated further, it has small holes where the mites can come out.
Avoid the bag coming into contact with the soil and hang it out of direct sunlight.
The predatory mites should be released immediately after receipt, but can be stored for a couple of days at 15 degrees.

Seeds from unusual and ancient cultivated plants are found here. Many of the plants have long been used by man for their useful properties - it may be about edibles as well as medicinal and household properties.
All seed varieties in the store contribute to a functional addition to the cultivation. Our seeds consist of open-pollinated and hand-pollinated heirloom varieties, we believe that a genetic diversity in the garden contributes to a healthier ecosystem that extends beyond the borders of our cultivations.
Plants are divided based on their different functions and characteristics - e.g. "Fruits & Berries" and "Medicinal plants" - via the filtering function on the right (below on mobile).
Plant history and cultivation description are available for all seeds.
NOTE. More unusual varieties are on the way!
Here you will find both super beautiful shoe models that are created specifically for gardening time and also other models that are well suited for different occasions in the garden. After our own search for good gardening shoes, we found the brand Rouchette, where we especially came to love their ankle boots insulated with neoprene. for the warmth and comfort they provide.
They have also designed a practical sole where no soil gets stuck and is taken into the home - the Frotte&Go system, exclusively developed and used by Rouchette. Rouchette is a family business from France for which we have become a dealer for good reason.
Without exaggeration, these are the most comfortable and practical boots we have ever had. That's where the idea came from to share their usefulness with other growers. The ankle boots are also great for the stable.
You can use the filter function below on the left to easily find the shoes you are looking for.
Here you will find books related to sustainable farming, food forest gardening, agroecology and other interesting knowledge about plants and their useful properties.
Take a look at PFAF's (Plants For A Future) book series - we have recently included all of their books in our range as we consider them to be a valuable source of useful plants for temperate gardens/cultivations.
