Frodas Fertilizer in 500 g package

Frodas is a 100% natural, slow-acting nutrient supplement made from insect shells and biological material, often called “frass.” It acts as a biostimulant, meaning it not only supplies nutrients but also promotes the plant’s own immune system and the soil’s living organisms.

Frodas naturally contains chitin from insect shells, a substance that activates the plants’ defense system. The chitin stimulates the production of enzymes and signaling substances that strengthen the plant’s resistance to pests and diseases, while also benefiting helpful microorganisms in the soil.

The supplement is rich in both major nutrients (NPK 3‑3‑2: nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium) and trace elements (including iron, zinc, copper, and manganese), which results in stronger plants with fuller foliage, improved flowering, and more robust root systems.

Frodas Fertilizer is odorless, approved for organic cultivation, and can be used year-round – both in pots, planting boxes, and in the garden. It helps plants withstand stress from cold, drought, and pests.

Dosage:
- Sprinkle 1 tablespoon per pot (1–1.5 l) or 1 deciliter per container of 10 l.
- Or 0.5–1 deciliter per 10 l soil in planting beds.
- Work lightly into the surface and water after application.
- Use 1–2 times per month throughout the growing season.

Biochar is a porous, carbon-rich material produced through pyrolysis – heating organic material (often wood, rice, or plant residues) without oxygen. The result is a stable form of carbon that does not break down in the soil like other organic matter.

In cultivation, biochar is mainly used to:

Improve soil structure – the porous particles make the soil more airy and contribute to better drainage and root environment.

Increase water retention – biochar acts like a sponge that absorbs and stores water, allowing the soil to hold moisture longer and reducing the need for watering.

Store nutrients – the pores of the biochar serve as small reservoirs where nutrients and micro-life can gather and be made available to plants over a long time.

Support micro-life – biochar creates a stable living environment for beneficial microorganisms in the soil.

Bind carbon dioxide – by burying biochar in the ground, carbon is locked in the soil for a very long time, which can contribute to climate benefit.

Biochar is especially useful in sandy soils where it improves moisture retention, and in clay soils where it helps improve looseness. It is an excellent choice in organic cultivation and is often used in vegetable beds, perennial borders, when planting shrubs and trees, as well as in growing boxes.

Wool pellets from Swedish sheep

Wool pellets are a natural nutrient and soil improver made from compressed sheep's wool. The small, tightly packed pellets are completely organic and break down slowly in the soil, gradually releasing nutrients while improving soil structure.

In cultivation, wool pellets are mainly used to:

Provide slow-acting nitrogen – good for long-term nourishment of vegetables, berry bushes, fruit trees, and ornamental plants.

Improve the soil’s water retention – the wool can absorb and store moisture, reducing the need for watering.

Increase humus content and loosen the soil – the breakdown of the wool contributes to a more airy and nutrient-rich soil.

Deter slugs – the rough texture of broken-down wool pellets is said to make it unpleasant for slugs to move across.

Wool pellets are especially valued in organic cultivation because they are a natural byproduct that both fertilizes and improves soil health without chemical additives.

Nutrients

NPK 11-0.1-4.5

Dosage

1 handful (about 1 dl) per pot for container growing and 2 handfuls per square meter in open ground.
Complete your watering system with a timer.

Water from 1 to 9 times per day with individual watering time for each program. Each program can water from 1 minute up to 9 hours.
It is also possible to water every other day or according to different weekday schedules.

Powered by 9V batteries (not included) - The batteries last about 5-6 months

This includes:

Timer

Filter (coarse mesh)

3/4 tap connector

Garden hose connector - male of Gardena type

How can the timer be programmed?

The timer is programmed according to the following parameters

Start time - When the watering should start

End time - When the watering should stop

Days - which days you want to water, for example Monday to Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday,

The timer contains 16 program slots that can be used for the above programming.

How do I connect the timer?

The timer is best connected by screwing it directly onto the water outlet (garden tap). Some garden taps have a 1/2 connection and then an intermediate connector needs to be purchased.

Since the timer sits directly on the tap, no garden hoses or watering systems are under constant pressure - water is only led forward when the timer opens its valve. This minimizes the risk of garden hoses coming apart and leaking over a longer period when the watering is not supervised.

Watering manual

Take apart the timer and install the battery

Here is a link to a short film where GjordNära shows how the timer is taken apart for battery installation

https://photos.app.goo.gl/z8r7gtP2EjynrdUz6
